Abstract To address the problems of inadequate top coal caving and inability of top coal drop filling the goaf during the mining process of Tashan Mine, which affects the mining work. In this paper, by analyzing and researching the top coal riser in the Mine, the affiliation value method was used to evaluate the top coal riser of 8116 fully release working face, the top coal caving affiliation value μ=0.718, which was of general level, and the carbon dioxide pre-cracking measures were taken to cause the collapse, and the application of this scheme provided technical support to improve the production efficiency of top coal release at the working face.
