Abstract In order to accurately identify the geological anomalies in Zouzhuang Minefield 21312 working face, this study comprehensively analyzed and judged the geological characteristics of the suspected subsidence pillars in the working face by synthesizing the interpretation results of various exploration methods, and evaluated their danger, which provided a basis for safe mining of the working face. The results showed that the geological anomaly exposed in 21312 working face is karst collapse pillar, which developed to the Ordovician limestone stratum in the lower part of coal measures. The collapse pillar was generally water-rich, but the joints and fissures were developed, the storage space was large, and the precautions needed to be taken before mining.
