In order to solve the problem of power imbalance when the belt conveyor starting of Yangquan No. 1 Mine, based on the study of conveyor belt characteristics and the modeling of belt conveyor, the performance of different starting curves and starting time was compared and analyzed. The starting characteristics of the belt conveyor with single motor and multi-motor starting conditions were studied, and an effective strategy to improve the power imbalance during multi-motor starting was proposed, which solved the problem of power imbalance.
