Abstract

Taking mastoparan(MP) and Anoplin as the parent, two novel antimicrobial peptides AM-1 and AM-2 with 25 amino acid residues were formed by linking Leu and Lys. The experimental results show that the antitumor activity of the new antimicrobial peptide in vitro is significantly higher than that of its parent, and its lethality to normal cells (NIH-3T3) is lower than that of tumor cells, indicating that it has certain selective toxicity; but its hemolysis rate is higher.
