Abstract Thick coal seam fully mechanized mining led to the change of bearing pressure and influence range, 8103 fully mechanized working face of Dongrisheng Mine was taken as background, mechanical model of coal and rock mass under advanced support pressure, formula of advanced support pressure and limit equilibrium area was got, the influencing scope of advanced support was 5.5 m, Rayleigh wave's launch and monitoring was conducted in 8103 working face based on sound ranging principle, limit equilibrium range was 4.8 m by calculation, corresponding to the measurement in the field.
