Abstract In order to study the load-bearing performance and the stress and strain evolution of roadway surrounding rock. In high water filling roadway, 12305 working face of Yunjialing Mine was taken as example, filling body stress and roadway surrounding rock stress were simulated by FLAC 3D and observed on the site. The result showed that the width of filling body was 3 m, with good road bearing capacity, high synergy of roadway surrounding rock, easy to change the failure state of overburden and deformation of the surface, the filling body was affected by the displacement of roof, the lower part of the filling body is generally less than the upper bearing, which is about 80% of the upper load.
