Abstract In order to solve problem of decreasing gas drainage quantity caused by seam collapses and air leakages along gas pre-drainage borehole in Dashe Mine, improvement of hole-sealing measures was put forward, which laid casing pipe along the borehole, then sealed it by using two sealing and one grouting sealing techniques, afterwards, comparison test of 2 kinds of gas drainage hole sealing effect in the test site was carried out. The results showed that compared to old way of hole-sealing, the pre-drainage gas scalar kept a high value consistently after improvement measures, and gas scalar was increased by 1.71 times at the same time. The extraction time was reduced greatly, and effect of outburst elimination was improved by gas pre-drainage in coal mining face, which could realize the safety production.
