Taking SL-1000 type coal cutter in large mining height working face of Yangquan Coal Mine as example, its features and installation were introduced, problems of installation and usage procedure were concluded and application effect was analyzed. The practice showed that SL-1000 type coal cutter with high performance, good reliability, high production and efficiency, as well as obvious automation superiority was a great equipment to deal with problems in large mining height working face.
