Based on geological and engineering environment of big angle dark inclined shaft, this paper calculates running resistance of belt conveyor and required shaft power. Models and specifications of several key devices of the conveyor are listed and the conveyor is improved to tackle issues of feed sliding and belt breaking. Industrial test on the spot shows that designed conveyor can satisfy requirements in safety and conveying task.
