Abstract Some mine of Qinshui Coalfield was taken as background, based on mining hydrogeological condition, 6 Comprehensive analysis of affecting water burst was conducted from coal floor water~resisting layer thickness and lithology of the mining of coal floor block water performance, disturbance, water abundance of Ordovician limestone, water inrush coefficient and geological structure, the feasibility of safe mining was demonstrated, which provided guidance for safe mining and reference for similar mining.
