Abstract Based on 8115 working face high ground stress soft return air roadway support difficulty of Yangquan Mining Group Pingshu Company, through testing mechanical parameters of roadway surrounding rock body, numerical simulation combined with the actual monitoring method was adopted, different support scheme of roadway surrounding rock deformation, stress and the characteristics of damage were analyzed. The result showed that surrounding rock with anchor rod (rope) combined steel belt supporting scheme improved surrounding rock deformation broken condition, roadway shrinkage kept within 14%, mining rate increased by 17% or so.
