Abstract A purification method of 4-aminoambilin was provided, where the activated carbon was added to the 4-aminoambibilin hydrolysate for colloidal impurities, then the activated carbon was filtered, the filtrate was neutralized with liquid ammonia, and layered to layer oily 4-aminoambilin. The influence of adsorption temperature, adsorption time, activated carbon addition, activated carbon species and hydrolysate pH value on the purity of 4-amino-ampyrine were studied. The best process conditions are as follows: the specific surface area of activated carbon is 1 000 m2/g, the mass of activated carbon and hydrolysate is 0.005∶1, the adsorption temperature is 95 ℃, the adsorption time is 60 min, the hydrolysate pH value is 1.0~1.5, and the purity of 4-aminoampyrine is up to 97.91%. The process is simple and low cost, which can effectively improve the purity of 4-aminoantibiline.
