Abstract The use of coal chemical method for ammonia synthesis has cost advantages, but with the upgrading of the green ammonia industry, the energy consumption and environmental problems are increasingly prominent in the process of coal chemical ammonia synthesis, so it is necessary to study the energy saving of ammonia synthesis process. The specific process principle, energy consumption analysis of the current synthetic ammonia manufacturing process were discussed and the energy-saving suggestions for these energy consumption were put forward, and a feasible direction for realizing energy saving and green manufacturing in the synthetic ammonia process were provided.
