| Study on surrounding rock control technology of gob-side entry driving in deep semi-coal rock narrow coal pillar |

Abstract The surrounding rock control technology of gob-side entry driving in deep semi-coal rock was studied, and the influence of narrow coal pillar width and control technology on the stability of surrounding rock was explored. Through numerical simulation and other methods, the reasonable width of narrow coal pillar was 6m. Because a part of the coal pillar in the deep semi-coal rock roadway was coal and a part was rock, the strength of the surrounding rock was different, and the asymmetric support technology was proposed. The coal body area was supported by high prestressed anchor cable, and the rock area was supported by anchor bolt. According to the field monitoring results, the 6 m wide narrow coal pillar and asymmetric support scheme could effectively control the deformation of roadway surrounding rock. The deformation of roadway surrounding rock tended to be stable after 35 days. When it was stable, the maximum surface deformation of surrounding rock on both sides was about 123 mm, which was within a reasonable range. The deformation of roadway surrounding rock had been significantly improved, indicating that the width of coal pillar and asymmetric control technology were reasonable and effective.
