Abstract In order to improve the recovery rate of coal resources in Xinjing Coal Mine, the technology of gob-side entry retaining without coal pillar mining was studied in No.3 coal seam. In order to optimize the regional stress of 3109 auxiliary air intake roadway in 3109 working face of Xinjing Coal Mine and improve the occurrence environment of surrounding rock, hydraulic fracturing technology is used for advanced pressure relief. By optimizing the construction scheme and process of flexible formwork concrete, the horizontal long hole regional fracturing technology is adopted to reduce the deformation of roadway, ensure the safety of mining and recover the coal pillar smoothly. In this study, the geomechanical evaluation of roadway surrounding rock near 3109 working face was carried out, including the observation of roadway surrounding rock structure, strength test and in-situ stress test and analysis. Based on this, the reasonable horizon of borehole was determined, and the fracturing scheme of horizontal long hole area was formulated.
