Abstract During the mining period of No.15449S Face in Jiulong Mine, the roof was frequently pressed. Affected by mine pressure, water pressure, mining and regional seismic action of the upper No.15249S Face, the water inflow in the goaf gradually increased. In view of this situation, through the comprehensive analysis of the hydrogeological conditions around the working face, the horizontal orientation technology was used to explore the weak zone of the working face floor, and the water outlet point was blocked by grouting. After the practical application, the horizontal branch hole was cross-constructed into a ' grid ' type, and the water inflow was successfully reduced to 1.5 m3/min, which ensured the safe mining of the overlying No.15249S Face, and played a role in water-preserved mining and reducing the cost of mine drainage. At the same time, the comprehensive water prevention and control technical countermeasures of Yeqing working face were put forward, which laid a foundation for the safe mining of deep coal seams.
