Abstract Shanxi Huaning Coking Coal Co., Ltd.is about to enter the second panel mining, but faces the problem of high gas emission. In view of this situation, in order to ensure the smooth and safe production of the second panel, the mine gas disaster situation is analyzed, and the gas extraction method is designed according to the actual situation. Through analysis and research, it is finally determined that the gas extraction in the coal seam fracture zone adopts the roof strike directional long borehole extraction scheme. The gas in the goaf is extracted by the buried pipe method, and the gas in the old goaf is extracted by the closed intubation method. The practice shows that the gas control effect of this scheme is good, which ensures the safe and efficient mining of coal mine, and provides experience for gas control in similar situations.
