| Application of transient electromagnetic method in goaf of Shuangxin Mine |

Abstract After the rainy season, the hydrogeological conditions in the mine field of Shuangxin Mine in Henan Province changed greatly. In order to find out the distribution of water in the old goaf within the scope of coal mining, it was decided to carry out surface geophysical exploration in the mine field. The buried depth of coal seam in Shuangxin Mine was more than 150 m. By analyzing the advantages and disadvantages of various geophysical exploration methods in China, it was decided to select transient electromagnetic method to carry out exploration work in this mine field. According to the exploration task, a total of 30 transient electromagnetic survey lines were laid in the mine field. The construction parameters of the exploration were selected through the test. After the later data processing and interpretation, the inversion resistivity section diagram and the coal seam bedding slice plane were drawn. Through the inversion resistivity section diagram, it could be seen that the inversion resistivity contour line obviously showed the electrical characteristics of the downward depression at the goaf positions of No.1040 line, No.1720 line and No.2080 line. The plane of coal seam bedding slice showed 5 low-resistance abnormal areas. Combined with geological data, 5 abnormal areas were explained and analyzed. Among them, 2 were strong water abundance abnormal areas and 3 were weak water abundance abnormal areas, which were consistent with the later verification results. It showed that this method could achieve good results in the exploration of water accumulation in old goaf of coal mine, and could provide reference for the construction of similar areas.
