Abstract Aiming at the problems existing in the support of large-span dynamic pressure roadway in Gucheng Mine, Flac3d finite element simulation was used to simulate the increase of lateral pressure coefficient in different roadway spans and sideways taking north three panel auxiliary transport roadway as the research background, and the surrounding rock deformation law and mineral pressure characteristics of the roadway were analyzed. The simulation results showed that the plastic failure area, the first principal stress, the two groups of approaching and the roof sinking amount of the roadway expanded with the increase of side pressure and expand with the increase of span. With the increase of the span of the roadway, the difficulty of support increased exponentially; Based on the side pressure coefficient, the failure area of the plastic zone and the aspect ratio of the roadway, the classification method and type of large-span roadway were given. The principle and control method of high-strength economic support of large-span roadway were proposed, the economic optimization support scheme was given, and the roadway deformation was monitored on site, the results showed that the supporting effect of auxiliary alley in north three panel auxiliary transport roadway was better, and the main deformation occured on the 5~20th day, and the optimization support scheme had achieved remarkable results, providing a demonstration effect for the large-span roadway.
