Abstract In order to meet the requirements of mine ventilation and ensure the normal replacement of the mine, in view of the current problem of insufficient air volume, Xipang well of Dongpang Mine proposed to transform the ventilation system of the mine, forming a central boundary ventilation pattern with two inlets and one outlet, increasing one air supply channel, reducing the return air distance and reducing the ventilation resistance. The ventilation resistance decreased to 1 053 Pa, and the ventilation capacity increased to 4 129 m3/min, which ensured the air volume of the extended area and the later deep mining.
