| Treatment of high salt pharmaceutical wastewater by Fenton process |

Abstract order to achieve the standard discharge of high salt pharmaceutical wastewater, fenton oxidation method was used to treat the effluent of high salt pharmaceutical wastewater. The degradation effects of initial pH value, hydrogen peroxide dosage, ferrous sulfate dosage and stirring reaction time were studied by single factor experiment and orthogonal experiment. The optimum dosing conditions were determined as follows: pH value was 3, H2O2(30%) dosage was 5 ml, H2O2∶Fe2+ was 20∶1 and reaction time was 30 min. Under the best conditions, the removal rate of COD was 67.41%. The type and concentration of organic matter in the wastewater has changed after Fenton treatment. Some complex organic matter has been transformed into simple organic matter which was easy to be decomposed.
