Water exploration and drainage engineering should be carried out in roadway excavation. Taking the lower roadway hydrogeological conditions of No.13112 face in Shihao Mine as the engineering background, the lower roadway water filling factors of No.13112 face were analyzed, which indicated that the water accumulation in goaf caused a certain threat to the roadway excavation. Based on this, the water exploration and drainage engineering in goaf was designed, the water accumulation in the adjacent goaf of No.13112 face lower roadway was verified, and the drainage was carried out, which ensured the safe excavation of No.13112 face lower roadway and provided guarantee for the safe mining of No.13112 face.
