Abstract The content of Na2O in coal ash was closely related to the internal water content of coal, and was directly proportional, and inversely proportiona to the ash content of coal by the analysis and research of geological data of Xisuohu West Minefield. The Na2O in coal ash was analyzed from the composition of coal. The content is directly proportional to the vitrinite composition, and is closely related to the mineral composition of coal. The content of Na2O in coal ash with silica and aluminum oxide as the main components is low.
