| Coalfield small fault interpretation explored by three-dimensional seism based on eigenvalue coherent body properties |

Abstract In order to improve the interpretation accuracy of small faults in coalfield three-dimensional seismic exploration, this paper compared and analyzed the coherent body algorithms and their characteristics of three different methods, focused on the principle of coherent body algorithm based on eigenvalue principle, and used the actual three-dimensional seismic data to test and analyze the three coherent body algorithms. The test results showed that the coherent body properties based on the eigenvalue principle had good reflection effect and high resolution on small structures. The coherent body properties based on multi-channel similarity principle had the secondly good reflection effect, but its resolution was relatively low; the coherent body properties based on the cross-correlation principle had no obvious effect on the small structure. At the same time, the main parameters of the coherent body algorithm based on the eigenvalue principle were tested and analyzed by using the actual three-dimensional seismic data. The test results showed that the more the number of channels involved in the calculation, the lower the resolution. In general, it was recommended to use three channels in the calculation. The test results also showed that the longer the longitudinal time window involved in the calculation, the lower the resolution. In general, the recommended longitudinal time window for calculation was half to one seismic wave length.
