Abstract During the "14th five year plan" period, Handan took the construction of comprehensive utilization base of bulk solid wastes as the starting point, comprehensively promoted the transformation of solid wastes from "low efficiency, low value and decentralized utilization" to "high efficiency, high value and large-scale utilization", and created a high-end development pattern of "waste free society". The production of solid waste in Handan City was disscussed, the current situation of comprehensive utilization technology of solid waste in Handan City was summarized, and the comprehensive utilization products of solid waste in Handan city was analyzed. The research results showed that the treatment and utilization level of urban solid waste in China's coal based development has been improved, but there is still a certain gap compared with western developed countries. It is still necessary to actively carry out the secondary treatment and utilization technology of urban solid waste recycling to lay a good foundation for building a "resource-saving and environment-friendly" society.
