Abstract Geothermal as a clean energy source has been paid more and more attention and developed in recent years, and is widely used in various fields such as heating, bathing and tourism. The ultimate exploration purpose of geothermal exploration is to find thermal storage structures, i.e., fracture-tectonic fracture zones. There are many methods of geothermal exploration, and the controlled-source audio geomagnetic method is one of the more economical and applicable methods. Compared with other methods, the controlled-source audio geomagnetic method has the advantages of large exploration depth, high efficiency and high resolution, and the good effect of the controlled-source audio geomagnetic method in geothermal exploration was proved by the project work in Jilin Panshi area.
