Abstract DTL120/200/3×630 type belt conveyor of Xinwang Coal Industry was taken as the research object, the overall structure of the equipment was briefly outlined and an energy-saving optimized intelligent control system was designed. The PLC controller and frequency converter used in the system were all developed by Siemens, the models were S7-1200 and 6ES71 respectively. each motor was equipped with frequency converter and power distribution cabinet, and the operating status of the belt conveyor was detected by using sensors and detection instruments, and the speed was adjusted according to the detection results to ensure that the operating speed of the equipment matches the coal flow rate. The sensitivity of the control system was reduced and the stability of the system operation was improved by setting the coal flow interval.
