Abstract Applying advanced control technology to coal mining equipment and realizing the updated design of coal mining machine control system is the key to improve the comprehensive performance of coal mining machine. Taking the 700 type coal mining machine as the research object, the structural characteristics of this type of coal mining machine were analyzed, and the overall scheme and key subsystems of the control system were designed and studied. The practice showed that the designed control system had higher control performance, met the control requirements of field operation and achieves the expected results.
