| Research and application of assisted system for gas content detection in underground coal seams |

Abstract In order to quickly and accurately determine the gas content of underground coal seams, 1 set of auxiliary system for gas content determination of underground coal seams based on Java language and MySQL database was designed. It realized various functions such as basic information entry, loss amount selection and calculation, data report output and user personnel management. It improved and integrated many previous calculation methods and systems. The system was applied to the E8 coal seam of the Sixth Mine of Pingdingshan Tianan Coal Industry for actual on-site measurements, and the final result showed that the maximum raw gas content in the area was 5.30 m3/t. The study showed that the designed system was simple to input, automatic in calculation, accurate in results and easy to extend.
