Abstract Taking the hydrogeological condition of No.10-2012 roadway in Mugua Mine as the engineering background,water filling condition of No.10-2012 roadway in the mine were analyzed. The excavation of test roadway was mainly affected by surface water and roof aquifer. The advanced detection project of roadway excavation in No.10-2012 roadway was designed. Two low resistance abnormity areas were found by transient electromagnetic detection. The use of drilling hole water detection verified that the flood threat was eliminated. At the same time, based on the water inflow during roadway excavation, water prevention and control measures for working face were put forward.
