Abstract The mainstream process of acetic acid production is methanol low-pressure carbonylation process. In the process of acetic acid production, the tail gas from the high-pressure absorption tower is burned by the flare and discharged at high altitude, and the main component of the tail gas produced by acetic acid production is carbon monoxide. The three-stage variable pressure and temperature regulating adsorption process(PSA method) was adopted, and the CO recovery rate was increased by 10% compared with the original two-stage process; Cu(I)-activated carbon adsorbent was applied to the acetic acid tail gas recovery CO process, forming a unique process of producing high purity CO from acetic acid tail gas recovery; the self-tuning control algorithm based on BP neural network PID parameters was designed to achieve the intelligent adjustment of PSA parameters. While studying the treatment of acetic acid tail gas pollution, the valuable part of acetic acid tail gas is recycled to realize resource treatment, reduce enterprise cost and increase economic benefit.
