Abstract In order to realize safe mining of 2-208 working face in Xinzhi Mine, the main source of goaf water and water filling channel were analyzed. The results showed that the main water inrush channels of sandstone aquifer and gray aquifer were roof fractures and geological structures. The goaf was divided into three lines: ponding line, water detection line and drainage line, and different water exploration and drainage measures were adopted. Good results were achieved, which can provide reference for the treatment of goaf water under similar conditions.
