Abstract Kailuan Mining Group with a long history of mining, many geological factors affected the safety and efficiency of coal mining, such as deep mining, water hazard, fault, thin coal seam, fault, magmatic intrusion and other geological condition. Concealed collapse columns in Fangezhuang Mine and thin coal seam mining of Qianjiaying Mine were taken as example, a comprehensive exploration system, "whole process, all-dimensional and four steps" was discussed, which provided geological technology guarantee for the safe and efficient mining.
