Abstract In order to meet the packaging requirements of downstream preparations, improve the specific volume and fluidity of cefotaxime sodium, the crystallization process of cefotaxime sodium was optimized. The effects of four factors on the specific volume and fluidity of cefotaxime sodium, the ratio of dissolving system, stirring speed in crystallization process, crystallization time and temperature were investigated. It is concluded that when the water content of the dissolved system is 10%, stirring speed is 250 r/min, the crystal growth time is 20 ~ 30 min, a crystal temperature is 15 ~ 20 ℃, the product has small specific volume, good liquidity, and the packaging of the preparations was improved.
