In the traditional coal mining technology, the general transport and loading tasks are completed by cable-type equipment. However, due to the limitation of cable wear and length, this kind of mechanical equipment has inevitable problems. Therefore, explosion-proof diesel engine development and application inevitably becomes the mainstream trend. The present situation, application and development trend of explosion-proof diesel engine were discussed in this paper.
