Abstract In order to obtain high efficiency, low toxicity and cheap preparation agent, reduce the cost of coal preparation and increase efficiency, the compound agent FN-12 synthesized by fusel oil and MIBC with low toxicity was researched, which is better to be dissolve in a variety of organic solvents. The properties of FN-12 two phase foam test and FN-12 flotation test were carried out. The test results show that FN-12 has strong foaming performance and good foam stability; when pH value is more than 4, the foam is better, and when the FN-12 dosage is 1.5 kg/t, the cleaned coal index is better.
