Abstract Based on the frequent roof disaster, the early warning system of roof disaster based on MATLAB data was developed. The early warning system enables to collect support resistance and pillar subsidence, put the observation data into monitoring system and analyze site conditions with measurement data, structural mechanics model and multi-factor radial basis neural network mathematical model. Basic roof structure and subsidence value of roof could be predicted, the corresponding danger degree of roof disaster based on roof parameters could be given, with feedback of disaster early
