Based on serious derrick corrosion and the loose layer of thick, rich water condition in Yangdong Mine, the derrick height could not meet over winding and over falling safety requirements. As a result, the ground curtain grouting intercepting aquifer was used for water supply, advance grouting was applied to disperse the residual water and the grouting was adopted to improve strength of surrounding rock, which made main lifting roadway cross the Quaternary strong aquifer smoothly as well as providing reference for Handan and Xingtai roadway going through third and fourth series of loose water-bearing strata grouting water plugging project.
