Abstract Deformation prediction was needed in order to study surface movement deformation caused by underground mining. Probabilistic integration method showed some defects through theoretical derivation and it was corrected. The result showed that the common probability integral method could be established when horizontal seam mining was applied; when mining inclined coal seam, the results expected by revised surface movement deformation formula of probability integral method was similar to the actual measurement results. And it could achieve ideal expected effect.
