Based on calculation analysis of pressure loss and local pressure loss on flow path of emulsion pump station in mechanized mining face, the fact that initial position of emulsion pump station could be installed at a distance of about 942.6 m was determined in the case of meeting initial support of hydraulic support. But considering loss of less quantity of elbow, gate valve, control valve, etc., it was more appropriate to suggest the initial installation of pump station should be within 700m of cut eye.
