Based on characteristics of large mining height in 18205 mining face, its gas emission sources were analyzed and management measures were proposed. Before operation of gas control roadway, gas released from the working face was treated by borehole extraction in upper corner hanging pipe and roof fracture zone. After application of gas control roadway, gas content was effectively reduced by comprehensive gas control combining with drilling in roof fracture zone, which solved gas overrun problem in upper corner of goaf under pressure.
