Gravimetric method was used to determine sulfate ion in water in this paper and its influence factors were also discussed. The research showed that measuring results were mainly affected by many factors including addition of barium chloride solution, holding time in hot water bath, the temperature of hot water when washing and control the temperature of the burning of sediment.
