Abstract Based on the 2-106 air-return roadway floor heave control problem in Xinzhi Mine, plastic zone distribution of surrounding rock stress change in condition of non-support, original support and grouting reinforcement with pressure relief slot was compared. The study showed that the third support enables to control the displacement of two sides, base angle and roof and floor , with obvious effect of coal seam floor heave control.
