Abstract Based on specific geological conditions of Shanxi typical roadway, the reasonable width of coal pillar in fully-mechanized caving roadway was settled as 8 meters through theoretical analysis. Integrated control technology with subject of high strength anchor and anchor cable was proposed and applied, and stability of surrounding rock in the condition of 8 meters pillar was analyzed through UDEC numeral simulation software. The practice showed the support technology can guarantee stability of surrounding rock in gob-side entry.
