| Study on reasonable layout of roadway under traditional double U in high gas coal mine |

Abstract In order to solve waste of coal pillar and difficulties of roadway maintenance under traditional double U condition, difficulties and advantages of new type roadway layout method in high gas working face are theoretically analyzed. Based on analysis of numerical simulation in stress distribution characteristics of coal pillar and surrounding rock deformation law, reasonable width of large pillar is settled as 60 meters, roadway driving along goaf of small pillar is applied and reasonable width of small pillar of 2 auxiliary air return roadway is set as 5 m. As a result, roadway layout of two working face were optimized.
