In order to guarantee safety production of various diggings in Xishan Coal Electricity Corporation, substation in Du’erping Coal Mine was transformed. Inflatable high tension switch cabinet produced by ABB Company was applied in 35kv primary system and its advantages and disadvantages were discussed which also had a comparative analysis with traditional high tension switch cabinet. The practice showed that transformation achieved anticipated effect and played a positive role in design points and choice of substation switch cabinet in coal mine.
