Abstract Topsoe MK-121 type methanol synthesis catalyst is a kind of copper based catalyst. Before driving, it is the oxidation state and no activity, Eso it must be firstly reduced to metallic copper to play the role of catalysis in reaction. The process flow of 60 million tons methanol synthesis device and the composition of MK-121 type methanol synthesis catalyst were introduced, and the temperature rising and the reduction process were mainly described. By comparing the actual chemical effluent volume and the theoretical output, observing the hydrogen concentration and temperature change in the inlet and outlet of the synthetic tower, the existing measurement error and the water quantity and other factors loss in the process, it is concluded that the catalyst has been fully restored, so the later device can realize the long, full, excellent and efficient production.
