Abstract Based on slow advance speed and big security risk in fully mechanized mining face going through scouring zone, range of scouring zone was settled through field observation and deep hole blasting technology scheme was proposed to go through scouring zone quickly.The practice showed that coal cutter could pass through crumbly strata of scouring zone successfully, which improved economic and technological benefit and safety benefit.
