Combined with actual situation of Xingyuan Mine, No. 6 coal seam 6410 working face was adopted strip mining, in order to prevent water burst in working face, mechanical model of solid supported beam was used to calculate ultimate collapse distance of rock beam and critical mining length in fracturation, the mining width and width left in strip mining were settled and the strip mining plan was chosen.
