In the end of mining face, roundwood is used to support the roof and Withdrawing Support,  with much wood and low safety index and without any wood recycling. In order to improve the economy and security of removing hydraulic powered supports, hydraulic supports as cover method was proposed. Hydraulic supports as a cover frame can not only save a lot of wood, lower cost of coal, but also reduce labor intensity of workers, and increase operational safety of workers. This process was practiced successfully in 2124 face of Xingdong Mine.
